Opposition Locks Down Prosecutor's Office in Tbilisi
Representatives of the opposition in Georgia locked the gates of the Prosecutor's Office following a protest rally held near the building. Prior to that, clashes occurred between protest participants and law enforcement agencies.
“They want to scare us, but they will not succeed. We will lock them down and achieve our goal. As long as Ivanishvili is in power, there will be such actions. These guys will soon get tired, take off their uniforms, and join our side, then we will see who will protect them,” stated Guram Chalagashvili, one of the opposition leaders.
It is worth noting that the protesters are demanding early elections based on a proportional electoral system.
