«Joghovurd». Arsen Torosyan Does Not Make Concessions
«Joghovurd» newspaper reports. According to the paper, there are serious disagreements within the «My Step» faction regarding the proposed changes to the «Law on Medicines». Many lawmakers argue that there is no need for the law to include advertising for prescription medications to the public.
On the other hand, Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan holds a contrary viewpoint and is once again not willing to compromise. The most noteworthy aspect is that, according to sources of the newspaper, many from «My Step» have been informed that the author of the draft is Prime Minister Pashinyan, who recently promised during a meeting with pharmacists that such a law would be adopted. However, Nikol Pashinyan's promise pertains to the legal regulation of the medication market, while Minister Torosyan merely inserted a preferred provision into the draft.
The main committee has provided a negative conclusion regarding this bill, which the government sent for urgent discussion.
