Operation 'Tarzan on the Elephant' Conducted to Locate Fugitive Inmate
On November 18, the Criminal-Executive Service of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia announced that a convict had escaped from the hospital. The inmate, 31-year-old Arayik Samveli Sargsyan, was previously convicted seven times, with his most recent sentence being 6 years and 6 months for offenses identified under Article 177, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
According to Shamshyan.com, several divisions of the Criminal-Executive Service and police continue their search efforts at nearly all suspicious addresses where the fugitive may be hiding. Checks are being conducted.
According to G. Shamshyan's reports, the wanted A. Sargsyan is known by the nickname 'Mowgli' in the penal facility, and the operation to find him has been dubbed 'Tarzan on the Elephant Seeks Mowgli.'
