Construction of Olympic Stadium in Tokyo Completed

The construction of the stadium designated for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Tokyo has been completed. The Japanese authorities spent 1.2 billion dollars on the construction of the stadium, which is built on the site of the stadium that hosted the 1964 games. It will host football and athletics competitions and has a capacity of 68,000 spectators.

The 32nd Summer Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo, starting on July 24 and concluding on August 9. Approximately 11,000 athletes from 206 countries will compete in 33 sports. This will be the second time Tokyo hosts the Olympic Games since 1964.
