Los Angeles Police Arrest Suspect in Murder of Armenian Taxi Driver

The Los Angeles Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of Armenian taxi driver Hovhannes Papazyan. The perpetrator stabbed the 68-year-old resident of Burbank, resulting in the driver's death.

The police have identified the attacker as 32-year-old Victor Daniel Torres from Los Angeles, who has a prior criminal record. Witnesses reported that after Torres inflicted knife wounds, he attempted to steal the taxi but was unsuccessful.

“Unable to find the keys, the suspect simply fled, leaving the taxi driver to die,” the police statement read.
