Cases of Anthrax Detected in Kapan

On November 15, an emergency incident was reported at the Kapan Medical Center. Three women living in Kapan were hospitalized, two of whom are pensioners.

According to Sputnik Armenia, after appropriate examinations, doctors diagnosed the women with anthrax. Reports indicate that the hospitalized women purchased and consumed meat from one of the local meat shops in Kapan. It is possible that the pathogen was transmitted to them through the purchased meat.

The circumstances of the incident will be investigated by law enforcement and specialists.
