Erdogan Makes Controversial Statements About Armenians Again

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made controversial statements regarding Armenians during his speech at a religious center in Maryland, USA. He noted that in the past, Armenians lived like nomads, referring to Armenia as a "young state."

"Armenia is a state of yesterday. Previously, they lived as refugees and wandered. In Turkey, they often changed their place of residence. At that time, a decision was made regarding forced relocation," Erdogan said.

The Turkish president also stated that there are currently 100,000 Armenians living in his country. According to him, 60,000 of them are Turkish citizens, while the remaining are "illegal migrants."
