All Place Names in Nagorno-Karabakh Are of Azerbaijani Origin in Old Maps, Says Aliyev
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, spoke at the opening of the Second Summit of Religious Leaders in Baku, addressing the issue of Artsakh and stating that it has "always been an integral part of Azerbaijan." This was reported by Minval.az.
According to the Azerbaijani president, "in all old maps, including those of Tsarist Russia, all place names in Nagorno-Karabakh are of Azerbaijani origin." Aliyev also mentioned that "the demographic picture of Karabakh changed in the 19th century due to the immigration of Armenians."
