Human Rights Defender's Office on Sedrak Kocharyan's Father Visiting Ban
“Since the case is at the judicial investigation stage, we cannot say anything at this moment. We are in regular contact with the lawyers,” said the Public Relations Department of the Human Rights Defender’s Office in response to 168.am’s inquiry about the ban on Sedrak Kocharyan visiting his father.
In response to the question about why there has been no response after the lawyers reported that they had contacted the Human Rights Defender over a month ago, they stated, “At this moment, I cannot add anything further. I can say that we are in regular contact with the lawyers, and any questions are discussed with them. Also, given the scope of the defender's powers, I cannot provide more detailed information.”
In response to the website’s observation that the lawyers indicate they have received no response from the Human Rights Defender’s Office to date, they reiterated, “I am saying again what I am aware of at this moment. If you want more detailed information, then you will have to wait; we will discuss it again on Monday, see what we have, and convey it. This is all I can say for now.”
