Azerbaijan Prevents Printing of ‘0 Euro’ Notes Featuring Artsakh Symbolism
The attempt by the German company EuroSchein Souvenir to print commemorative euro notes featuring symbols of Artsakh has failed. Azerbaijan has lodged an official complaint regarding the matter, as reported by Azerbaijani media.
According to these sources, with the support of the Armenian diaspora, the German company planned to print souvenir notes with a nominal value of '0 euros'. The notes were to be inscribed with 'Republic of Artsakh' and feature an image of the well-known monument 'Dedo-Babo' (translated as 'We are the mountains').
However, following intervention from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the company has abandoned this idea.
