“You say business and politics are separate, then why are you an MP?” a journalist asked G. Tsarukyan. The leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party responded angrily: “Dear girl, I’m not a businessman, what do you have under your belt... What does a journalist have to do with graduation from Yerevan State University?”

In response, the journalist said, “I graduated from the Faculty of Journalism.” Tsarukyan replied, “You probably didn’t graduate well; you graduated through a connection... Now more than half of them are MPs like you who can’t put a stone upon another... I’m not a businessman dear girl, I’m a businessman, I’ve entrusted management.”

Journalists inquired about his opinion on the government. He said, “I respect the Prime Minister, he wants to do something, but the conditions for investment are not there. It is necessary to have a one-stop-shop.”

When asked for his assessment of the National Assembly’s work, he stated, “God bless... not sufficient, as long as they are not united.”
