I Will Write a Letter to the Prime Minister in the Morning Requesting My Exit from the Public Council. Pipoyan
Babken Pipoyan, the president of the public organization 'Informed and Protected Consumer', announced during a meeting of the Public Council that he is resigning from the council.
He noted that the Public Council is an advisory body, but he does not feel that way. 'It is important to understand why we have reached this point. Now I am hearing that the Public Council is doing everything right, we are very good, and the rest are very bad. The Council has had many shortcomings. The question arises whether the government does not want to listen to me because it does not listen to the council, or does it simply not want to hear advice from me,' asked Pipoyan.
The advisory position is the most interesting non-functioning position, as there are no assignments, remarks, or dismissals. And when the leader and the advisor do not find common ground and the advisor does not submit a letter, they simply reduce the number of positions and eliminate the advisory position. For me, this is a pivotal issue. Tomorrow I will say that if you do not want my advice, I am leaving. Tomorrow morning I will write a letter to the Prime Minister requesting to exit from the Public Council. This is an institutional pivotal consideration for me. My perception is that the constitutional body (the Public Council) should continue to exist. The executive authority must take steps to make its decisions. The government will clearly show whether it wants advice—if we are bad advisors, or if they do not want advice at all,' Pipoyan stated.
