The Aggressive Campaign Against Araik Harutyunyan Fits Into a Clear Political Calculation: MP
MP Hovhannes Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page: “The primitive and aggressive campaign against Araik Harutyunyan fits into a clear political calculation, where any representative of the ruling party is targeted, and all the misinformation and other groups try to discredit that person as much as possible. If you remember, other members of the political team are also subjected to such periodic attacks, hoping that other representatives of the same political team will remain silent or gloat.
So let it be known that we are united as ever. This political campaign is aimed at undermining the most important resource of Nikol Pashinyan's government—public trust—because, unlike the opposition forces, we are neither an oligarchic power nor a corrupt system, and we do not possess your unlimited media and financial resources.
Therefore, dear friends, this is not a campaign against Araik Harutyunyan, but rather a campaign of the old and the retrograde against the new and the progressive.
Araik Harutyunyan is one of the most honest people I know, and his integrity and truthfulness should not be condemned but appreciated, as only through that path can we have a non-corrupt country, quality education, and a bright future.”
