Ten Individuals Questioned in the Case of Paul Paulosyan's Murder

Approximately ten individuals have been questioned in relation to the murder of Paul Paulosyan. Among those interrogated are eyewitnesses, including Stephen John Newton, a British citizen, and ethnographer Gayane Shagoyan.

The information has been confirmed in a conversation with Armtimes.com by Naira Harutyunyan, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Investigative Committee. She also noted that Agamal Harutyunyan, who received a lenient sentence for his involvement in the brutal murder of Paulosyan, will be questioned as well.

Earlier, Gor Abrahamiya, an advisor to the RA Prosecutor General, reported that a new circumstance has emerged in the case 18 years after Paulosyan’s murder. This involves the application from representatives of Stephen John Newton, the eyewitness to the murder, along with submitted and translated documents, as well as the criminal case concerning Paulosyan's murder which was previously examined by the First Instance General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan City on the night of September 24 to 25, 2001, at the 'Paplavok' café.

Abrahamiya informed us that the prosecution has reviewed the documents presented by Newton, which apparently indicate that Paul Paulosyan was killed not by accident, but intentionally by Agamal Harutyunyan and other unidentified individuals, under malicious motivation.

Another witness, Gayane Shagoyan, recently gave an interview, stating that law enforcement agencies did not listen to her testimony either during the preliminary investigation or the trial following Paulosyan's murder.
