«Irates»: “No, I will die already, what do I need freedom for?” Manvel Grigoryan has refused to testify against Kocharian
«Irates» newspaper writes: Authorities are reportedly still holding out hope that the seriously ill Manvel Grigoryan will provide testimony against Kocharian regarding the events of March 1 or share some information related to the October 27th incident.
It is to be recalled that, according to certain sources, General Manvel possesses a recording of the meeting between Robert Kocharian and Nairi Hunanian on the evening of October 27, 1999, and many assert that this is why the ailing general remains in custody.
Occasionally, “emissaries” from the authorities visit him in the hospital, urging him, presenting examples, and offering a “barter” scheme of testimony for freedom. However, he adamantly refuses, stating, “No, I will die already, what do I need freedom for? I will die here in this hospital anyway, and these people don’t really care.”
