I Will Never Forget That Day: Alen Simonyan Remembers the Events of 2018

Today, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan recalled the events of April 2018 during a court session at the Avan Norq Marash General Jurisdiction Court.

“I will never forget that day. We were passing by — it was Mr. Pashinyan, Mr. Avinyan, and Lena Nazaryan. At one point, I reached out my hand to take the shield and throw it over the barbed wire to cross, and one of the police officers tried very diligently to strike my fingers, so I pulled my hand back. Just a second later, the explosion occurred,” he recounted.

It is noteworthy that he is registered as a victim in the criminal case against former Deputy Chief of the Police Levon Yeranosyan.
