Economists Disheartened by Both High and Low Inflation, Says Pashinyan
During a discussion on the 2020 budget proposal in parliament, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed various statistical indicators. In particular, regarding inflation rates, the Prime Minister stated:
“The inflation rate is 1.6 percent. Economists are very disheartened when inflation is high, and they equally feel disheartened when inflation is low. This is the indicator that, I hope, will provide our esteemed economists with a sense of comfort.”
