Video: Salaries of 200, 300, Perhaps More Thousand People Are Set to Increase, Says Prime Minister
There is a discussion about a proposal that bonuses be given not automatically, but at the discretion of ministers, allowing them to reward good performers while not rewarding poor performers. This was announced today in parliament by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“We will ensure a 20 percent growth in state budget revenues based on this year’s results. Starting January 1, pensions will increase, as will the salaries of military personnel. I won’t provide a specific number, but salaries for 200, 300, or maybe even more thousand people will increase, including members of the National Assembly, because under the new tax code, the salaries of all citizens earning over 150,000 will increase starting January 1. However, this will be at the expense of tax changes,” he stated.
