VIDEO: Employers with 10 or More Employees to Pay Salaries Cashless Starting January
The National Assembly today discussed for the second time the legislative proposal to amend the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia, authored by MP Gevorg Papoyan from the 'My Step' faction.
The MP previously proposed making salary payments cashless mandatory for companies with ten or more employees starting January 1. However, he has made changes to the proposal.
The reason for these modifications was concerns that cashless payment options may not be available in rural areas. 'I have made modifications to the project and introduced a geographical limitation, including only the city of Yerevan. Employers with 10 or more employees in Yerevan will have to pay salaries cashless starting in January,' Gevorg Papoyan stated while presenting the new version.
