Bill on Disclosure of Mining Owners Adopted with Amendments
With 108 votes in favor, 2 abstentions, and 0 against, the National Assembly today adopted in the first reading a bill aimed at amending the Code of the Republic of Armenia on Subsoil Use. This bill introduces changes to the process of disclosing the ownership of companies engaged in mining operations.
According to the law, the names of top managers of companies operating the mines will also be disclosed alongside the owners. Due to technical issues, the deadline for these disclosures has been moved from November 30 to January 30.
