Head of the Emergency Management Center Hovhannes Khangeildyan Submits Resignation
The head of the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel Hovhannes Khangeildyan, has submitted his resignation. He confirmed this information in our conversation.
“After many years of service, 21 years, I have applied to the minister to transition to retirement,” said Khangeildyan.
Addressing the reports suggesting that his resignation was due to disagreements with the Minister of Emergency Situations, Felix Tsolakyan, Khangeildyan stated, “Such a thing cannot be true. My position and the minister's position simply do not imply any state relations. From the very first day of his appointment, as with all ministers, there have been state decency and permissible relations based on the principles of superior and subordinate. There can be no problems.”
Khangeildyan noted that he received a job offer from a private company quite some time ago but his age did not reach retirement eligibility.
He is now waiting for the approval of his resignation application. “I reiterate, there has never been any problem with the minister. The National Center for Crisis Management has always been the minister's support, a body serving the people around the clock. There has never been, nor can there be, any conspiracy here.”
