It Doesn't Matter Whose Father it Is, It's About Legality: Simonian on NSS Operation
During a press briefing in the National Assembly, Vice President Alen Simonian responded to journalists' questions regarding the NSS operations and the visit to the home of Hrayr Tovmasyan's father.
“I don’t know for what reason they visited, but I can confidently say that it doesn’t matter whose father it is, how old he is; it’s about legality. If that person were not the father of someone and there was information, they would still visit. If my father were in that position, they would have visited him too. There have been and will be cases related to me where I have been summoned to the Investigative Committee, and I have given testimony while holding the position I occupy. I do not consider this persecution against me,” Simonian stated.
