Turkey Strikes 181 Targets in Syria
Turkish forces have launched attacks on 181 targets in Syria during the initial hours of a new operation called "Peace Spring." This information was reported by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense.
In response, the Kurdish formations of the Syrian Democratic Forces coalition announced on their Twitter page that Turkish troops conducted airstrikes on a prison housing ISIS terrorists.
Additionally, Turkey has initiated a ground operation in Syria, starting from three locations. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that Ankara has the right to conduct operations in neighboring Syria, citing the Adana agreement, which was signed between the governments of the two countries in 1998.
According to Erdoğan, under the terms of this agreement, if the regime fails to take measures against the Kurdistan Workers' Party, Turkish military forces have the right to pursue "terrorists" within Syrian territory.
