Names of Those Who Reported Fake Bomb at Gyumri School Revealed
On October 9, at 10:39 AM, the operational management center of the Yerevan police received a report from the Mush division, claiming that an unknown caller had stated that a bomb was placed in School No. 15 in Gyumri.
All rapid response services were dispatched to the scene, students and teachers were evacuated, the area was cordoned off, and bomb specialists conducted search operations in the school and adjacent buildings. No explosives were found.
Thanks to the joint operational and investigative measures undertaken by the Shirak regional police, the Mush division, and the National Security Service, information was received that led to the identification of three ninth-grade students from the same school at 4 PM on the same day. The boys confessed that they had called the 1-02 service to interrupt the class, falsely claiming that a bomb was present in the school.
The minors have been handed over to their parents. Preparations for documentation are underway.
