In Mexico, the mayor of Las Margaritas was tied to a pickup truck and towed through several streets. According to the Heraldodemexico newspaper, the official had promised local residents to build roads but failed to fulfill his promise.
As a result, residents tied the mayor with a rope to the back of the pickup truck and towed him through the town until the police stopped the vehicle.
