Rescuers Respond to Call at Government House Building No. 3

On October 8, at 16:36, the "911" service received a report of a gas odor detected on the 5th floor of Government House Building No. 3 in Yerevan. A firefighting unit from the Emergencies Ministry’s rescue service in Yerevan and an emergency response team from the national crisis management center were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that a gas leak occurred from a pipeline near Building No. 59 on Republic Avenue, without any fire outbreak, which caused the gas smell to spread to Government House Building No. 3. The crew from the gas emergency service closed the valve on the gas pipeline, stopping the leak. No assistance from the rescuers was needed.
