I Don't Know How to Translate it in Other Languages: Artsakh is Armenia, and That's Final - Hovhannes Igityan

Today, during a conversation with reporters, the Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Foreign Relations, Hovhannes Igityan, commented on Aliyev's statement, noting that Aliyev contradicts not only himself but also the decades of processes led by the Minsk Group.

“I am waiting for another statement. Nikol Pashinyan's statement has been somewhat misunderstood; he did not say that Artsakh is part of Armenia, that is a demagoguery used by Aliyev as well. I don’t know how it should be translated in other languages: Artsakh is Armenia, and that’s final. Lavrov addressed this issue, saying it does not contribute to the atmosphere needed for the negotiation process to begin,” said Igityan.

He emphasized that he expects Russia, as a co-chair country of the Minsk Group, to make a statement regarding what Aliyev claimed. “Aliyev has stated that Artsakh is Azerbaijan and that's it. If Azerbaijan claims that Artsakh is its territory, what negotiations can we talk about? With this, Azerbaijan is declaring that it does not see any continuation of peaceful negotiations,” he added.
