The Waste Collection Issue is Now Resolved, Says Marutyan

The waste collection issue is now resolved. This was announced today, September 10, by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan during a conversation with journalists following a session of the city council.

"I am not saying that the trash has been completely collected, as there are still garbage piles accumulated by 'Sanitek' in the city at this moment. A community organization has been established that will rapidly fill this gap, and we will return to normal life. 'Sanitek' only started working 14 months after signing the contract, whereas we began operations after acquiring 5 vehicles," said Marutyan.

"I will not allow the city of Yerevan to face this problem again. I am currently building a system that will ensure that whoever becomes mayor in the future, this issue will not affect the residents of Yerevan," he added.
