Armen Sarkissian Meets with Presidents of Manchester City and Mubadala Companies

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, met in Manchester with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, the president of the English Premier League champion Manchester City Football Club for the 2018/19 season and the head of Mubadala, one of the world's largest investment companies.

During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation with Mubadala and potential investment programs in Armenia were discussed. The Mubadala investment company mainly operates in high technology, telecommunications, energy, healthcare, real estate, infrastructure, education, and science.

Khaldoon Al Mubarak also introduced President Armen Sarkissian to the activities of the City Football Group holding, which owns the English Manchester City club. In this context, the possibilities for implementing programs aimed at the development of football in Armenia were also discussed.

The President also toured the Manchester City academy, getting acquainted with the sports programs for various age groups within the club. Invited by Khaldoon Al Mubarak, President Sarkissian watched the English Premier League match between Manchester City and Tottenham at the stadium.
