What Happened in the Direction of Chinari: Satellite Images

Recently, various information has been circulating in the Armenian media regarding the frontline section of the village of Chinari in Tavush Province. Considering the interest in the topic, we present the positional changes in that area:

In the February-March period of 2019, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia undertook engineering works in this area of the frontline, improving our positions and increasing our capabilities to target the adversary. This is confirmed by the analysis of satellite images presented by Razminfo.

The images below clearly show that the Armenian side has constructed and fortified inter-position roads, as well as advanced positions. Although the positional improvements do not eliminate the risk of Azerbaijani shelling on the village of Chinari since the Azerbaijani elevated positions remain in place, they do enhance our capabilities to target and suppress the Azerbaijani forward positions that keep the village under fire.
