The Face of Yerevan's Imposed Municipal Authority: Sona Agekyan on the Trash Issue Again

Member of the "Alternative Municipality" initiative, Sona Agekyan, today, on August 18, showcased the accumulated trash in the streets of Yerevan's Erebuni administrative district during a live broadcast.

“This is simply unacceptable, and I don’t know what to call it. This is called the Erebuni administrative district, where there should have been green spaces, according to the imposed mayor. He was jumping around on stage, organizing good shows, tearing his throat out and saying, ‘I will green it.’ Mr. Imposed Mayor, excuse me for addressing you, but you are powerless and incompetent. Mr. Prime Minister, you imposed a mayor on us who claimed he would green the city. I want to understand where you have actually added green space, as it seems to be a hidden location because I am not seeing any green areas in Yerevan,” said Agekyan.

She also noted that the mayor is awarding bonuses to officials who have failed to manage the city, and soon they will be demanding the mayor's resignation.
