"Whoever Comes Takes Everything": Hunters Hold Protest Again
Hunters in Armenia are once again staging a protest in front of the Ministry of Environment, voicing their objections to the new hunting regulations. One of the hunters stated, “We want to appeal to Nikol Pashinyan because his ministers are unable to act, particularly this new minister. This is not how things should be; we need improvements, we need to live well. The fee has increased from 8000 to 17000; whose expense is this? On Saturdays and Sundays, hunters should be able to hunt. What are they doing? The minister is sitting at home on the weekend while I am working in the fields. The hunters deserve their rights.”
He highlighted that they want the previous hunting regulations to be reinstated.
It should be noted that for several days now, hunters have been protesting in front of the Ministry of Environment, opposing the government's decision which states that hunters must now pay 17,040 AMD for a hunting permit instead of the previous 8000 AMD and can only hunt on Saturdays and Sundays.
