Direct Air Links to Open Between Turkey and Nakhchivan

Direct air links between Turkey and Nakhchivan will be established, announced Huseyin Keskin, the head of Turkey's General Directorate of State Airports, according to Turkish media reports.

According to him, the air route will open on August 15 of the current year. He noted that the agreement to open this air corridor was reached after prolonged negotiations with the International Civil Aviation Organization.

"Thus, flights to Nakhchivan, which were previously conducted through Iranian airspace, will be carried out through a direct corridor," he said.
