Armenian Doctor Treats 4-Year-Old Russian Child Refused Surgery by Foreign Specialists

Doctor Arsen Hayrapetyan from the No. 1 City Hospital in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, successfully performed surgery on a child with a rare genetic condition, previously refused treatment by foreign doctors. This was reported by kp.ru.

The 4-year-old Russian boy was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease known as Marshall syndrome (periodic fever). Doctors had declined to remove the child’s tonsils, fearing that the operation would not alleviate his fever.

“Arsen Mikaylovich is the only doctor we met in four years who immediately said he would perform the surgery. The issue was not even the surgery itself, which lasted 30 minutes, but the confidence with which the doctor decided to help us. Throughout these years of battling the illness, I have never encountered a doctor who speaks so confidently and convincingly... I am immensely grateful; he is a doctor sent by God,” said the boy's mother.

It was noted that the boy's condition deteriorated in January of this year. He underwent surgery in May.
