New Departments to Be Created in National Assembly Soon
The "Haykakan Jamanak" newspaper reports that significant structural changes are anticipated in the National Assembly's staff, aimed at developing expert capabilities and strengthening oversight, according to the authors.
In this regard, "Haykakan Jamanak" has learned that new departments will be created from the merger of existing divisions, the largest of which will be the "Expert and Analytical Department," formed by uniting the legal and economic expert divisions.
The department will include several subdivisions: a state-legal examination division, a financial-economic examination division, a socio-educational examination division, a health examination division, and a legislative monitoring division.
Moreover, a decision has been made that the staff should periodically conduct expert evaluations on the application of various laws and present them to the relevant committees in case of issues.
Additionally, according to our sources, the parliamentary staff aims to strengthen the citizen-parliament connection, and for this reason, the General Division will merge with the Citizens’ Complaints Division, which will operate in an automated manner.
