Sanitek's Response to Hayk Marutyan
Sanitek does not speak the language of blackmail with anyone. This is stated in a statement by the management of Sanitek, which we present below.
“In response to information circulating in the media, we find it necessary to state that the Sanitek company has never refused to pay any subcontractor, supplier, or employee. The company, like any business entity, independently manages its financial resources and chooses its spending priorities. Currently, the company is facing financial difficulties, which are also caused by unjustified disproportionate sanctions and unfounded fines imposed by the municipality.
Addressing the wording expressed by the mayor during today's working meeting at the municipality, that 'there is no person in the world who can talk with the residents of Yerevan in the language of blackmail,' the company informs that it has never spoken and does not speak the language of blackmail with anyone. The company is currently unable to fulfill its payment obligations to subcontractors solely due to the municipality's non-constructive actions.
As for the emotional thoughts expressed by the mayor, they further complicate the already challenging situation and lead the constructive dialogue initiated by the company's shareholders to a deadlock.
As we have informed previously, in the coming days, Sanitek will hold an unprecedented press conference where all facts that have remained in the shadows due to the negotiation process will be presented. During the conference, company representatives will answer all the pressing questions.”
