Don't Be Afraid, Nikol: Supporters of Kocharyan Rally Toward Prime Minister
Moments ago, supporters of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan marched towards the government building on Northern Avenue, holding banners and chanting "Kocharyan is a hero." This demonstration coincided with a press conference between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Donald Tusk, President of the European Council.
However, police prevented the protesters from approaching the building, forming a barricade near the fountains in the square.
Shortly afterward, Pashinyan and Tusk exited the government building for a walk. They passed by the demonstrators, who, upon seeing them, began to chant, “Kocharyan is a hero” and “Nikol, don’t be afraid of your people.”
