The member of the Yerevan City Council from the "Lus" faction, Tehmine Vardanyan, addressed the newly established municipal organization dealing with stray animals on her Facebook page, focusing on her visit there.

She specifically wrote: "So, this is the municipal organization established by the city government that 'deals' with dog sterilization, which my walking buddies rave about day and night. Friends, is this the structure that meets international standards? ✅ 5 dogs in one cage are suffocating ✅ There is no food for the dogs ✅ There are no medical waste management protocols, nor is it clear where the waste is disposed of. Could it be in a household trash bin? ✅ Look at the conditions of the medication ✅ There are only 3 boxes of vaccines, stored in a food refrigerator. ✅ 'Operated' dogs are thrown into the cages ✅ There are no documents existing.
