In Ararat Province, Village Head Dismantles Concrete Barriers of a Debris Channel and Encloses His Property
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, on May 24, the investigator Rubén Badalyan from the Artashat police department initiated a criminal case based on the 1st and 3rd points of the 2nd part of Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code. As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the criminal case was opened against 67-year-old Garush Hakobyan, the village head of Narek village in the Ararat Province.
Preliminary information suggests that Hakobyan dismantled the concrete barriers of the debris channel in Narek and relocated them to his property within the village to use them for construction purposes as a wall. According to the photojournalist, the initiated criminal case has been transferred to the Investigative Committee of Armenia’s Ararat regional investigative department.
