Residents of Zvartnots Neighborhood Block Yerevan-Ararat Highway

According to Shamshyan.com, a tense situation has arisen in the Ararat region. Residents of private homes in the Zvartnots neighborhood have once again blocked the Yerevan-Ararat highway, declaring that they will not reopen the road until the drinking water issue is resolved.

In a conversation with a photojournalist, the residents stated, “Every year during this season, the water issue remains unresolved. They promise to provide at least 8 hours of regular water daily, but it’s of no benefit. Years ago, we blocked the road again, and they provided water, but it lasted only for a short time. Now we have no choice but to block the road, confident that this is the only way the problem will be solved.”
