Driver of Mercedes Hits Mitsubishi in Gegharkunik Region and Flees the Scene, Injuries Reported

Today, on May 1st, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 5:00 PM, at the 55th km section of the Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway, a collision happened involving a Mitsubishi Grandis with license plate 35 OV 914, driven by 26-year-old Levon Harutyunyan from Vedi, and a Mercedes with license plate 46 AA 006, driven by 52-year-old Patvakan Nikoyan from Nor Amanos village.

According to reports from shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, Levon Harutyunyan lost control of his vehicle, veered off the road, and crashed into a thick tree on the roadside. Due to the accident, Harutyunyan and his passengers, 23-year-old Georgi Muradyan from Yerevan and 35-year-old Laura Kreminen, a citizen of Romania, were taken to the Martuni medical center with injuries.

Sources indicate that the driver of the Mercedes was at fault. After colliding with the Mitsubishi and leaving those involved in the accident helpless, he fled the scene.
