Police Clarification on Bonuses

The Police of Armenia has responded to a social media post regarding bonuses given to its personnel. A user on social media, referencing a friend who serves in the police, spread information about bonuses stating that in the past, these bonuses amounted to one hundred percent of the salary. This claim is untrue and constitutes absolute misinformation.

According to the police, there have never been consistent monetary bonuses in the department over the last decade, let alone bonuses equal to one hundred percent of the salary. The first instance of a one hundred percent salary bonus within the police system occurred in December 2018, and to date, monetary bonuses are awarded at specific intervals.

We urge our fellow citizens and media outlets not to mislead the public with unverified and unfounded information,” the police stated.
