Young Man Hits Minibus with Bat, Causing Injury to Driver

The investigation into a hooliganism case that occurred on Kasyan Street has been completed in the Arabkir division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. Charges have been brought against a 24-year-old resident of Yerevan.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia reports that, based on the factual data obtained during the pre-trial proceedings, on December 21, 2018, at approximately 14:30, a young man born in 1995 approached a minibus that was obstructing the path of his vehicle, intending to punish the driver. He kicked the side door of the minibus.

To conclude his criminal actions, he retrieved a PR-T type rubber bat from the interior of his vehicle and struck the minibus's side window. As a result, glass fragments fell on the driver, causing him moderate bodily harm.

Based on sufficient evidence, charges have been brought against the young man under Article 258, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. A recognizance not to leave has been chosen as a preventive measure against him. The investigation has concluded, and the criminal case, along with the indictment conclusion, has been sent to court.
