Davit Sanasaryan made a post on his Facebook page addressing the issue of Mihran Poghosyan seeking political asylum from Russia.

“Every criminal and discredited general has been given refuge, which is why we are being disgraced in other countries these days.

In countries with a serious military culture, a respectable general doesn’t ask for asylum from another country at the cost of being tortured; he surrenders to his own country to uphold the institution of the shoulder straps.

Despite this, honor is a foreign concept to them,” he wrote.
