Details from the Pashinyan-Zaroukian ‘Jan-Jigyar’ Meeting

The newspaper “Zhoghovurd” reports: “Recently, the president of the Bright Armenia Party, Gagik Zaroukian, met with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, after discussions in the National Assembly regarding amendments to the Law on State Duties. During these discussions, members of the ‘My Step’ faction voiced critical remarks towards Zaroukian.

According to information from the newspaper “Zhoghovurd,” Pashinyan urged Zaroukian to sit down with members of ‘My Step’ at the same table and reach a common conclusion. However, the leader of the Bright Armenia Party responded that the members of ‘My Step’ have already crossed into personal insults, making it seemingly impossible to come to an agreement with them.

Pashinyan stated that he would try to assist the leader of the Bright Armenia Party in this matter. The meeting concluded in a ‘jan-u-jigyar’ atmosphere, yet the issue of clinking remains unresolved.

Later, Pashinyan, through the deputies of the ‘My Step’ faction, urged lawmakers to maintain respectful boundaries and to refrain from insulting Zaroukian and his deputies in their speeches.”
