Grandson of the Village Head Shot with a Winchester in Front of Police, Says Zartonk Resident

“Since early morning, there have been attacks on us by the village mayor; they have assaulted the protesting residents, and we have sustained serious injuries,” said Seyran Sahakyan, one of the community members, in a conversation with Tert.am.

Sahakyan informed that after the assaults on the residents, the people of Zartonk obstructed the interstate railway.

“The village head’s grandson personally shot at me with a Winchester in front of the police,” he stated. When asked if the police had taken any action, he replied, “According to the police, the shooter has been taken to the station. I have sustained a gunshot wound to my leg and am currently at the hospital in Metsamor.” Prosecutors have reported that the prosecutor of the Armavir region is at the scene, and there are currently individuals being detained.
