Major Accident in Syunik Province: 2 Vehicles Leave the Traffic Zone
Today, on April 12, a major and tragic car accident occurred in Syunik Province. Around 5:30 PM, two vehicles—a Mercedes and an Opel—collided on the 6.5 km section of the Kapan-Kajaran highway. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver of the Mercedes died on the spot, while the driver of the Opel was hospitalized with injuries.
As a result of the collision, both vehicles left the roadway.
According to Shamshyan’s sources, the deceased was the son of Stepan Petrosyan, the village head of Lernadzor in Syunik Province.
