Armenia and Russia to Provide Joint Humanitarian Aid to Flood-Stricken Iran

The emergency situations ministries of Armenia and Russia will provide humanitarian aid to flood-hit Iran. This was reported by RIA Novosti, referencing the Russian Foreign Ministry's website.

“The floods have caused serious damage to the agro-industrial complex, infrastructure, and residential homes in several provinces. In light of the current situation, and upon the request of the Iranian side, the emergency management ministries of Armenia and Russia will jointly provide humanitarian assistance, sending more than 4,000 units of material resources to the country (tents, blankets, and other essential supplies),” the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement read.

It is worth noting that according to the latest information, the death toll from the floods in Iran has reached 70. Approximately 1,900 villages and towns have been affected. Numerous roads have been destroyed, infrastructure and homes have been damaged, and transportation has been paralyzed.
