President Sarkissian Visits the Baptism Site of Christ

During a working visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, visited the Baptism Site of Jesus Christ located on the banks of the Jordan River today.

The President toured the Christian holy site and signed the guestbook for honored visitors. He noted that Jordan's care for such a global holy site is the best evidence of the solidarity and dialogue between civilizations.

President Armen Sarkissian also visited the Armenian Saint Karapet Church built on the banks of the Jordan River and lit a candle.
