Azerbaijani Citizen Raped and Murdered a 5-Year-Old Girl in Russia

In Krasnodar, an Azerbaijani citizen will stand trial for the rape and murder of his girlfriend's 5-year-old daughter in Sochi.

According to Russian news reports, the suspect was at home with the young girl on March 13, 2018, while her mother was hospitalized. Taking advantage of the child's vulnerable state, the man committed sexual violence against her, subsequently assaulted her, and went to sleep. In the morning, he discovered that the girl was showing no signs of life. He then placed her body in a bag, transported it to the riverbank, and covered it with stones. He informed neighbors that the girl was missing and created the impression of conducting a personal search, after which he ceased all communications.

Soon after, the man was detained in one of Adler district's hostels. Experts determined that the girl's death was caused by blunt force trauma to the abdomen. The investigation has collected sufficient evidence, and the case has been forwarded to the Krasnodar Regional Court.
